CBITS 2 Day Training August 15-16 2019


Local CBITS Trainers Drs. Elswick and Washington, and Christy Peterson, will provide a 2-day training on the evidence-based intervention for group work in schools/ community known as CBITS. In this training, participants will learn specific strategies to promote the social and emotional development of children and youth; gain knowledge about group-based interventions for serving children and youth who have experienced adverse events or trauma; and will learn skills aimed at enhancing the quality of the school, home, and community settings for all youth and children. Title: Cognitive Behavior Interventions for Trauma in Schools (CBITS) 2-Day Training

Cost: $350 per person

The Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS) program is a school-based, group and individual intervention. This can be easily embedded into the school-day, but also works very well as an afterschool and community-based intervention.


There are only 15 seats available for the training- so sign up soon!


The cost of the training is ($350.00 per participant). This cost includes your two-day training and all the materials needed to implement the intervention in your schools. Participants will be responsible for their own lunch and snacks during the event, and a lunch break is embedded into the training time.
